GLOBAL S.L.P.
Integrated Farm Management
Integrated Farm Management is GLOBAL S.L.P.’s flagship standard. Developed in consultation with stakeholders across the entire global supply chain, it takes a holistic approach to responsible farming and is audited annually by independent third-party certification bodies.
GLOBAL S.L.P. Certificate Holders for Sustanaible Livestock
Taking a holistic approach to responsible farming
The Integrated Farm Management (IFM) standard is divided into an All Farm Base module and a Livestock module, with the status of all certificate holders visible in GLOBAL S.L.P.’s IT system for full supply-chain transparency. This tried, tested and trusted standard is currently used by producers in over 20 countries. The IFM standard supports a holistic approach to responsible farming practices by individually addressing the following key areas:

Animal welfare
Food Safety
Environmental sustainability and biodiversity
Workers’ health, safety and welfare
Legal, Management and traceability
Biosecurity
Responsible use of antimicrobials
Quality Management System (QMS)
Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
The IFM standard consists of General Rules as well as Control Points & Compliance Criteria (CPCC).
The Control Points & Compliance Criteria are modular and comprise:
- The All Farm Base module: This is the foundation of all sub-scopes and it defines all the requirements that certificate holders must comply with prior to being awarded certification.
- The Scope module: This module outlines clear criteria based on the requirements of the livestock food production sector.
- The Sub-Scope module: This module covers specific requirements that relate to a particular product or aspect of food production/supply.
When a certificate holder or certificate holder group apply for Livestock Certification, the relevant sub-scopes are automatically added. To receive a GLOBAL S.L.P. Poultry Standard Certificate, for example, a poultry producer would have to comply with the All Farm Base, the Livestock scope module and the Poultry CPCC.
Livestock certificate holders are also required to source their compound feed from reliable suppliers. The GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Standard helps livestock certificate holders find GLOBALG.A.P. certified compound feed manufacturers.
