GLOBAL S.L.P.
Integrated Farm Management

Integrated Farm Management (IFM) is GLOBAL S.L.P.’s flagship standard. Developed in consultation with stakeholders across the entire global supply chain, it takes a holistic approach to responsible farming and is audited annually by independent third-party certification bodies (CBs).

GLOBAL S.L.P. Certificate Holders for Sustanaible Livestock

Holistic approach to responsible farming

The IFM standard includes one general scope divided in two modules: all farm module and livestock base module. The certification status of all certificate holders is visible in the GLOBAL S.L.P. IT systems for transparency in the supply chain. IFM is tried, tested, and trusted around the world with producers in more than 20 countries under certification.

The GLOBAL S.L.P. IFM standard takes a holistic approach that covers responsible farming practices through the following key topics:

Animal welfare

Food Safety

Environmental sustainability and biodiversity

Workers’ health, safety and welfare

Legal, Management and traceability

Biosecurity

Responsible use of antimicrobials

Quality Management System (QMS)

Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)

The GLOBAL S.L.P. Integrated Farm Management (IFM) Standard consists of General Rules and Control Points and Compliance Criteria (CPCC.)

The GLOBAL S.L.P. IFM CPCC are modular-based consisting of:

  • The All Farm Base Module: This is the foundation of all sub-scopes and defines all the requirements that all certificate holders must first comply with to gain certification.
  • The Scope Module: Defines clear criteria based on the food production sector from Livestock.
  • The Sub-scope Module: These CPCC cover all the requirements for a particular product or different aspect of the food production and supply chain.

The scope livestock are automatically coupled to the sub-scopes that a certificate holder or certificate holder group applies for.
For example, a poultry producer must comply with the All Farm Base, the Livestock scope module, and the Poultry CPCC to receive a GLOBAL S.L.P. Poultry Standard Certificate.

Livestock certificate holders are also required to source their compound feed from reliable suppliers. The GLOBALG.A.P. Compound Feed Standard helps livestock certificate holders find GLOBALG.A.P. certified compound feed manufacturers.
